P.T. horror teaser nears native PC conversion via fan project

A community-led project is nearing completion to bring the horror teaser P.T. to PC as a native Windows application. Developed by YouTuber Lorean The Gamer (also known as LoreanXavier), the project is reportedly 97% complete.

Unlike previous fan remakes that utilized modern engines like Unreal Engine, this version aims to reconstruct the original logic and visual systems using C++ and Vulkan. By analyzing the original PlayStation 4 executable, the developer intends to replicate the exact behavior and experience of the 2014 demo without using an emulator.

P.T. was originally released for free on PlayStation 4 as a teaser for the cancelled Silent Hills project, which was to be directed by Hideo Kojima with involvement from Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus. Following the cancellation of Silent Hills by Konami in 2015, P.T. was removed from the PlayStation Store, making it difficult to access.
