PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals conducts environmental pre-audit

PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals (NHM) conducted an environmental pre-audit from September 16 to 18, 2026, at the Gosowong Gold Mine. This initiative serves as a preparatory step for a formal environmental audit directed by the Ministry of Environment (KLH).

The pre-audit process follows the Ministry of Environment Regulation Number 03 of 2013 regarding Environmental Audits. The activity involved a multidisciplinary team of auditors and experts specializing in mining, hydrogeology, public health, and dam civil engineering.

During the assessment, the team verified environmental management documents and conducted field visits to relevant operational areas. The goal is to gain a comprehensive overview of current environmental management practices and identify specific areas requiring attention before the official audit takes place.
