PT Patra Drilling Contractor expands business through diversification

PT Patra Drilling Contractor (PDC) is implementing a business diversification strategy to expand beyond its core energy support services. CEO Hery Lesmana announced plans to develop trading capabilities for Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), such as casing and tubing, as well as expanding into EPC, construction, and chemical production trading.

While the company is diversifying, its core business units—including food and lodging services, manpower supply, heavy transport equipment, and marine services—remain central to its operations. The marine division has specifically grown by providing oil boom equipment for spill prevention in areas such as Offshore Southeast Sumatra (OSES).

Financially, PDC has seen significant growth, with revenue increasing from under Rp900 billion in 2019 to approximately Rp2.8 trillion recently. The company reported a profit of Rp143 billion in 2025 and aims to maintain revenue above Rp2.8 trillion for 2026. Currently, the majority of PDC’s market remains within the Pertamina Group, though the company is actively targeting the non-Pertamina market.
