PT PLN (Persero) launches charitable child care and environmental volunteer programs in Indonesia
PT PLN (Persero) used its Yayasan Baitul Maal (YBM) program to perform a mass circumcision for 112 children from low‑income families in Tobelo, Maluku, providing free medical services and school‑supply kits. General Manager Noer Soeratmoko highlighted the initiative as part of PLN’s broader social responsibility.
In South Kalimantan, PLN employees from the Banjarbaru unit carried out an Employee Volunteer Program at Air Terjun Bajuin, planting trees and cleaning litter to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day. Manager Bayu Putra Andrianto and local community leaders praised the effort as a model of corporate‑citizen cooperation.
Both activities illustrate PLN’s commitment to social welfare and environmental stewardship in the regions where it operates.
