PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara investigates sugarcane plantation fires in Ogan Ilir

PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara (SGN) is collaborating with the South Sumatra Regional Police and the Tanjung Batu Police Sector to investigate suspected intentional burning at the PG Cintamanis sugarcane plantation in Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra.

The fires threaten to damage raw materials and reduce harvest volumes, which could impact national sugar production targets and food security efforts. SGN has deployed a forest and land fire task force to monitor and extinguish hotspots, while also reporting suspected perpetrators to the authorities for legal action.
