PT SUCOFINDO and ABPEDNAS launch clean water well in Bintan

PT SUCOFINDO and the National Association of Village Consultative Bodies (ABPEDNAS) have completed the construction of a clean water borehole well for the residents of Toapaya Selatan Village in Bintan Regency, Riau Islands.

The facility was inaugurated by Riau Islands Deputy Governor Nyanyang Haris Pratama at the At Taubah Mosque. The Deputy Governor emphasized that access to clean water is a fundamental necessity for improving the quality of life in areas facing water scarcity. He called for continued synergy between local governments, corporations, and community organizations to address regional development needs.

According to PT SUCOFINDO President Director Sandry Pasambu, this project is part of the company’s ‘70 Borehole Program’ to commemorate its 70th anniversary. Funded through corporate social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) initiatives, the program aims to build 70 clean water wells across Indonesia, spanning from Aceh to Papua.
