PTC Japan opens new Nihonbashi office to drive manufacturing innovation

PTC Japan has relocated its Tokyo headquarters to the OVOL Nihonbashi Building in Nihonbashi, marking its first office move in approximately 15 years. The new facility is designed around the concept of ‘Living Harmony,’ aiming to foster creativity through human communication and the fusion of digital and physical realities.

A key feature of the new office is the ‘Japan Experience Center’ (JXC), which serves as Asia’s first platform for advanced experience demonstrations. The center allows customers to interact with AI-driven solutions and the company’s ‘Intelligent Product Lifecycle’ (IPL) strategy, which utilizes AI to manage complex product data across the entire lifecycle.

During the opening, PTC executives highlighted the increasing complexity in the manufacturing sector, particularly as software becomes a larger component of hardware products. They noted that managing global supply chains and technical complexity has exceeded the capacity of individual engineers, necessitating advanced digital tools. The company cited Lamborghini as a partner using PTC technology to maintain innovation and quality through these complex processes.
