PTCL Group posts 62% revenue growth in H1 2026 after Ufone‑Telenor merger
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) reported a 62% year‑on‑year increase in consolidated revenue for the first half of 2026, reaching Rs 4.7 billion in net profit and a 226% rise in operating profit. The growth was driven by strong performance across fixed broadband, enterprise, and mobile segments, with standalone PTCL revenue up 8% thanks to a 27% jump in Flash Fiber sales and gains in business solutions and wholesale services.
The mobile business, now operated under Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML) after the amalgamation of Ufone and Telenor Pakistan, saw revenue climb 138% and operating profit rise 203% year‑on‑year. The merger, completed in Q2 2026, created a telecom operator serving more than 74 million subscribers and brought the combined spectrum and network assets under a single brand. PTCL also crossed 900,000 Flash Fiber subscribers and expanded digital offerings through partnerships with Apple’s authorized distributor Mercantile and smart‑home provider Okasha.
Ubank, the group’s banking arm, returned to operating profit with Rs 12.3 billion in revenue, improving its bottom line by 85% year‑on‑year.
