Péter Gulácsi prioritizes defensive solidity at Villarreal CF

Villarreal CF goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi has identified improving defensive solidity and achieving more clean sheets as top priorities for the team. Speaking at a press conference, the Hungarian international noted that conceding goals affects him personally and emphasized the need for greater consistency to match the team's dominant style of play.

Gulácsi praised the tactical approach implemented by coach Íñigo Pérez, stating that the team aims to control games and attack with purpose, playing like a ‘big team’. Despite recent defensive lapses, he observed that the squad has shown improved stability in recent matches.

Reflecting on his first two months in Spain, Gulácsi expressed satisfaction with his adaptation to both professional and personal life. He is currently learning Spanish through formal classes to better integrate into the local culture. Looking ahead, he noted the upcoming challenge of facing Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu following the league break.
