Péter Magyar criticizes László Toroczkai over October 23 remarks
Prime Minister Péter Magyar has issued a sharp critique of Mi Hazánk leader László Toroczkai following Toroczkai’s speech during a Mi Hazánk commemoration at Corvin köz on October 23.
Magyar described Toroczkai’s rhetoric as “pathetic and blood-curdling,” accusing him of promoting Russian narratives. Specifically, Magyar noted that Toroczkai claimed the 1956 revolution was not a struggle against Russian occupation, but rather an uprising against international or globalist forces. Additionally, Magyar criticized Toroczkai for referring to fellow citizens as “soft-bodied” and for disparaging the European Union.
During his speech, Toroczkai also criticized the invitations extended by the current government to the President of France, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Toroczkai advocated for the creation of national resistance circles to oppose decisions deemed contrary to Hungarian national interests, citing child protection laws as a primary concern.
