Péter Magyar named to Time magazine’s TIME100 Next list

Péter Magyar has been named to Time magazine’s TIME100 Next list in the leaders category. The recognition follows his party’s landslide election victory in Hungary this past April, which ended 16 years of rule by Viktor Orbán.

Time magazine described the victory as “the most unabashedly pro-European political outcome in the post-Brexit era.” The publication noted that Magyar’s success offers Hungary a chance to conclude its illiberal period, demonstrating that “the people and institutions, the rule of law and democracy are more powerful than one man.”

Magyar appears on the list of influential rising talents alongside other leaders such as Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten and James Blair, a strategist involved in U.S. midterm election planning.
