PTI Australia appoints Senior North Pacific Tourism Adviser
Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) Australia has appointed Ben Urquhart as the Senior North Pacific Tourism Adviser. The role is designed to improve market readiness for tourism operators in Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Kiribati, and Nauru.
Urquhart will work to make North Pacific destinations more accessible by helping operators package, price, and sell their offerings through Australian wholesale, retail, and specialist channels. The initiative aims to leverage the region's natural and cultural assets, including diving, fishing, surfing, and World War II wreck heritage.
The North Pacific Tourism Packaging and Market Access Programme is supported by the Australian Government via the Australia-Pacific Partnerships for Aviation (P4A) program. The project will be implemented in partnership with five national tourism offices, airlines, and individual operators to establish booking pathways and support regional air services.
