BPJS Ketenagakerjaan launches PEKA program to enhance workers' welfare

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan introduced the Pemberdayaan Ekonomi dan Kemandirian Penerima Manfaat (PEKA) program in Depok and Sumedang on 13 July 2026. The initiative aims to move beyond cash benefits by providing participants with vocational training and skill‑development opportunities that can help them start or improve businesses and raise their living standards. Director of Services Trisna Sonjaya said the program emphasizes sustainable impact, stating, "Program ini merupakan inovasi … menitikberatkan pada keberlanjutan manfaat bagi peserta" and that training will be offered to beneficiaries and heirs to create lasting economic independence.
