PTN Hoops Fest 2026 brings together Indonesian university alumni

The PTN Hoops Fest 2026, themed ‘One Basketball, Countless Memories’, concluded on August 25, 2026, at GOR Bulungan in South Jakarta. The tournament served as a gathering for hundreds of alumni from seven prominent Indonesian state universities (PTN) to strengthen ties and promote national basketball development.

Participating institutions included Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), IPB University, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), and Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). To ensure fair competition, the tournament featured various age categories, including men's and women's 30+, men's 40+, men's 50+, and men's 55+.

Anggito Abimanyu, current Chairman of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) and former Chairman of the Indonesian Basketball Association (PB Perbasi), noted that the event transcends mere sports competition. He emphasized that the tournament fosters unity, health, and networking among alumni across different generations.
