PTPN Group and PT KUAB partner to develop Indonesia's soybean ecosystem

PTPN III (Persero) and PT Karya Unggulan Anak Bangsa (KUAB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a national soybean ecosystem in Indonesia. The collaboration aims to establish a foundation for soybean self-sufficiency by optimizing agricultural land and managing cultivation from upstream to downstream.

A primary focus of this partnership is the construction of a Soybean Seed Development Center. This facility is intended to ensure the availability of high-quality seeds for cooperatives and farmers across various regions of Indonesia.

Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo, the Special Envoy for Climate and Energy, expressed support for the initiative, stating that the goal is to achieve soybean self-sufficiency within three to four years. The program aligns with the Indonesian government's strategic agenda to strengthen national food security and independence.
