PTT AŞ service used by 16.7 million to verify vehicle mileage

Over 16.7 million people have utilized a digital service in Turkey to verify the mileage and damage history of second-hand vehicles. The service is the result of a 2017 protocol between the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation and PTT AŞ, designed to prevent fraud such as odometer tampering and undisclosed accident histories.

Users can access reliable inspection data, including mileage and vehicle history, by entering a license plate or chassis number through various platforms. These include PTTAVM, HGS Mobile, PTT Bank digital services, and the e-Devlet application.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu noted a surge in demand for these inquiries during the summer season, coinciding with increased second-hand vehicle sales. He emphasized that the service provides an easy way for citizens to protect themselves from being victimized by manipulated vehicle records.
