PTT and Siam Commercial Bank execute record 25-year currency swap

PTT Public Company Limited and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) have completed a USD/THB Cross Currency Swap (CCS) transaction valued at 48 million US dollars. The agreement features a 25-year term, marking it as the longest-duration CCS transaction ever conducted by a Thai corporation.

Designed to convert US dollar principal and interest into Thai baht, the transaction utilizes financial derivatives to manage long-term foreign exchange and interest rate risks. This structure aims to improve PTT's financial cost management, cash flow efficiency, and liquidity precision amidst global economic volatility. The deal also serves as a milestone celebrating PTT's 48th anniversary and highlights the collaboration between the two organizations to strengthen the Thai financial market through innovative risk management tools.
