KRAFTON bans PUBG players Himass and TanVuu for stream sniping
KRAFTON has permanently banned professional PUBG players Himass and TanVuu following an investigation into 'stream sniping' during the PUBG Asia Stars 2026 tournament. The investigation confirmed the players used external information from other participants' broadcasts to gain a tactical advantage.
The controversy led to the premature cancellation of the PUBG Asia Stars 2026 tournament after South Korean participants withdrew and sponsors paused activities. KRAFTON admitted to operational failures, including a lack of transparency regarding regulations and inadequate communication with teams in both Korean and Vietnamese.
In addition to the player bans, KRAFTON issued an official apology to streamer Soopi, who was targeted during the incident. The company acknowledged that its handling of the situation exacerbated the conflict and failed to protect participants from harassment.
