PUBG Xbox One update leads to server outage and 1.0 launch
A major update for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) on Xbox One caused the game's live servers to go offline. Developer Bluehole announced on Twitter that an unforeseen issue extended server maintenance by an additional hour, apologising to Xbox players and detailing changes such as a BP exchange system for weapon skins and temporary reductions in graphical settings to address framerate problems.
The same update also introduced the game's 1.0 version on Xbox One, adding the new Sanhok map, new weapons (including the QBU and QBZ), the Rony pickup‑truck vehicle, and two new playlists – Mini Royale and Battle Royale. A special Sanhok Edition priced at $50 includes the map, an event pass, in‑game currency and exclusive skins. The patch notes also mention fixes for connection errors and language display issues.
