This initiative, involving the German Cancer Aid and the Health Region Plus Munich, aims to raise awareness about the risks of UV radiation and skin cancer, which may be exacerbated by climate change.

In the Karlsruhe region, authorities are managing water quality safety. The Karlsruhe Health Department conducts regular testing of natural bathing waters and swimming pools between May and September. These inspections, which include bacterial analysis at the State Health Office of Baden-Württemberg, ensure compliance with EU Bathing Water Directives and regional regulations to protect public health.
