Public health services expand in Vinhedo and Votuporanga

Municipalities in São Paulo state, including Vinhedo and Votuporanga, are utilizing the Unified Health System (SUS) to provide a wide range of public health services.

In Vinhedo, federal funding supports 11 Family Health and Primary Care teams, eight Basic Health Units, and various specialized services such as dental care through Brasil Sorridente and mental health via Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS). The federal government also provided R$ 219.4 thousand to supplement the National Nursing Wage Floor. Additionally, the Farmácia Popular program has benefited 15,882 residents in 2026, and the Health in School Program reaches over 7,500 students.

Votuporanga maintains a comprehensive network including Basic Health Units, specialized services, and 24-hour emergency care through its Urgent Care Unit (UPA), SAMU, and the Fortunata Germana Pozzobon Emergency Care center. The city also collaborates with the Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Votuporanga to manage high-complexity services and provides pharmaceutical assistance and disease prevention campaigns.
