Public indecency and drug arrests reported in Vietnam and Taiwan

Separate criminal incidents involving public indecency and drug offenses have been reported in Vietnam and Taiwan.

In Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, a man wearing a helmet and a blue T-shirt but no lower clothing entered a nail salon on September 22. Witnesses reported the man engaged in a brief act of public masturbation before fleeing the scene. A female customer, who was barefoot at the time, reportedly stepped in bodily fluids left behind by the individual.

In Taipei, Taiwan, a 31-year-old man was arrested after walking semi-nude along the Huandong Elevated Highway in the Nangang District. When police attempted to intercept him, the man reportedly resisted and attacked officers. During the struggle, police recovered syringes and two packets of crystals that tested positive for amphetamines. The suspect has been referred to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office on charges of drug possession and obstructing public duties.
