Public infrastructure upgrades underway in Kladno and Zadar County

Infrastructure projects are underway in Kladno and Zadar County to modernize public spaces and transportation hubs.

In Kladno, the central bus station is undergoing a transformation to better meet current transit needs. The redesign replaces five original boarding islands with two new ones, providing a total of eight stations. The upgrade includes digital signage, four shelters, new lighting, and benches. To mitigate the impact of paved surfaces, ten trees are being planted using ‘treeparkers’—specialized spaces that allow root growth under pavement and assist in rainwater retention. Additionally, a new parking area with 118 spaces featuring permeable paving is being constructed to serve local institutions and commuters.

In Zadar County, Croatia, the Tourist Board is investing in public infrastructure to enhance the visitor experience. Recent improvements include renovated bus stations in Nin and Sukošan, which now feature promotional visuals and slogans to highlight local heritage. Other projects include horticultural landscaping in Bibinje and the installation of new changing rooms for beachgoers in Kukljica. These initiatives aim to improve the functionality of public spaces while simultaneously promoting local destinations through improved signage and aesthetic upgrades.
