Public Investment Fund developer expands into Malaysia and Brunei

RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company, a developer owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), is expanding its international cooperation with institutions in Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam. The company is exploring investment opportunities and project developments specifically related to the Makkah region.

A key agreement was signed with Malaysia-based MRCB International Sdn Bhd to explore transit-oriented development (TOD) within the King Salman Gate project in Makkah. The indicative Gross Development Value (GDV) for this collaboration is approximately SAR 21 billion. The proposed project includes an integrated public bus terminal connected to residential, commercial, and retail facilities.

MRCB, which has experience with projects like KL Sentral, will bring its expertise in transportation-based urban development to the partnership. The expansion of RUA AlHaram AlMakki’s network also includes engagements in Brunei Darussalam to further its international reach.
