Soledad de Graciano Sánchez launches lighting replacement program
Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz has initiated an intensive public lighting program in Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, San Luis Potosí. The initiative aims to replace 10,000 high-luminosity lamps across various neighborhoods and communities to improve public safety and basic services.
The program, which began in the 21 de Marzo neighborhood, utilizes lighting technology designed to last up to 20 years. The municipal administration stated that the project is being carried out with support from the state government to enhance community security and transitability for all residents.
In a separate infrastructure effort, the municipal government is also addressing drainage issues in the Pavón and Hogares Ferrocarrileros neighborhoods. Due to a lack of preventive maintenance by the inter-municipal organism INTERAPAS, the city has used its own resources to replace over 300 linear meters of damaged piping to prevent sewage overflows in residential areas.
