Public park infrastructure projects launched in Mexico and Spain
In Ciudad Obregón, Mexico, Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño has launched a 93 million peso modernization project for Parque Ostimuri. The initiative aims to rescue public spaces by rehabilitating the main entrance, play platforms, slides, and the swimming pool. The project also includes the construction of new restroom areas and the renovation of the mini-golf and train areas. New entertainment options, such as a Skyflyer and a Ferris wheel, have been added to the park.
In Oviedo, Spain, Mayor Alfredo Canteli announced the completion of a nearly 5 million euro renovation of the swimming pools at Parque del Oeste. Funded in part by European funds, the project includes 2.82 million euros in construction work focused on accessibility and energy efficiency. The upgrades, which include new roofing, heating, ventilation, and lighting systems, are expected to reduce energy consumption by approximately 30%. Improvements also include faster water heating capabilities and the installation of thermal blankets and elevators.
