Public protests held in Cazin and Slatina regarding safety and violence

Citizens in Cazin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, held a protest to demand improved road safety following a tragic accident involving three children, aged six, nine, and 12. The victims sustained severe injuries that are expected to have lifelong consequences. While one child remains in stable but unsatisfactory condition, the community gathered to call for stricter measures against reckless driving and the unsafe use of electric scooters and quads by minors.

In Slatina, Croatia, a peaceful gathering titled ‘Nijedna više’ (Not one more) was organized by the SOS Virovitica Association and Radio Slatina to condemn violence against women. Following a recent severe crime, the event aimed to encourage community solidarity and urge citizens to report signs of domestic violence. Speakers emphasized that femicide is often the culmination of long-term abuse and stressed that victims should not face such violence alone.
