The Public Revenue Office (UJP) has issued a warning regarding fraudulent SMS messages being sent to citizens. These messages falsely claim that a ‘tax refund is ready’ and include a malicious link.

Authorities advise citizens not to click on the links or provide any personal, banking, or sensitive identification data, as these messages are likely attempts to steal financial and personal information. The UJP emphasizes that all official information regarding tax services and VAT refunds should be verified exclusively through the institution’s official website, electronic services, or official contact channels.
