Various regional developments across South America focus on emergency response, public security, and community support.

In Chile, Codelco has deployed heavy machinery and humanitarian aid, including water and hygiene kits, to assist families in Tocopilla following an emergency. In Tarapacá, authorities are calling for significant investments to adapt infrastructure against future climate events, while the Chilean Army and Air Force have provided critical support in cleaning debris and assisting families in Alto del Carmen and Iquique. Additionally, the municipality of Calama is enhancing security in Alto Loa with new vehicles, and regional councils are funding logistics and cultural projects in Arica and La Unión.
