Spain considers applying embargo law to Fly2Galicia and FLYYO

The Spanish Government is considering the application of its embargo law against products and services from illegally occupied territories to the tour operator Fly2Galicia and the airline FLYYO.

Minister of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs, and 2030 Agenda, Pablo Bustinduy, stated in Vigo that Spain will act with "decisiveness" to ensure no economic actor profits from the situation in Palestinian territories. He emphasized that Spain is the only European country with a law specifically targeting economic activities originating from territories illegally occupied by Israel.

The controversy involves Fly2Galicia's links to Israeli interests and the use of the Judeo-Ukrainian airline FLYYO to provide aircraft for routes operating from Santiago. Sumar Galicia has welcomed the Minister's stance, calling for a thorough investigation into whether the company's activities fall under the scope of the existing embargo legislation.
