Public security committees meet in Alessandria and Marsala

Public security committees convened in Alessandria and Marsala to address local safety concerns and coordinate law enforcement efforts.

In Alessandria, officials including Prefect Alessandra Vinciguerra and Mayor Federico Chiodi discussed recent incidents at the Duomo. While authorities stated the current situation does not yet constitute an emergency, they agreed to increase both routine and extraordinary patrols in the coming months. Mayor Chiodi committed to issuing targeted ordinances to support law enforcement, particularly during weekends, and urged citizens to report issues directly to authorities rather than solely via social media.

In Marsala, Prefect Daniela Lupo and Mayor Andreana Patti met to analyze local security issues and recent incidents in the southern districts. Following recent criminal activity, authorities have identified suspects through investigative actions. Security measures have been intensified in areas such as Fornara, Ventrischi, and Sant’Anna, with increased night patrols on roads and railways. Recent anti-looting operations, conducted in response to a recent natural disaster, resulted in the identification of 955 individuals and the inspection of 496 vehicles between October 13 and October 24.
