Public service exams underway in Alagoas and Maranhão

Public service recruitment processes are active in the Brazilian states of Alagoas and Maranhão.

In Alagoas, the registration period for the Military Police (PM AL) concludes on October 16 at 6:00 PM. The competition, organized by Cebraspe, offers 1,060 positions for soldier and officer roles at the secondary education level. Salaries for successful candidates range from R$6,067.51 to R$11,563.77. Objective and discursive exams are scheduled for January 17, 2027.

In Maranhão, exams for the Fire Department (Bombeiros MA) soldier positions are being administered on October 18. The five-hour assessment covers subjects including Portuguese, logical reasoning, English, Maranhão history and geography, institutional legislation, first aid, and fire combat.
