Public tenders suspended and launched in Portuguese municipalities

The public tender for a new ecocenter in São João da Madeira, valued at approximately €1.35 million, has been suspended following a complaint or appeal. The municipality has extended the deadline for submitting proposals to October 15. The project, which is funded by European funds through the Norte 2030 program, is intended to enhance municipal capacity for waste collection, separation, and recovery. The construction is expected to take 425 days.

In Santiago do Cacém, the municipal council has launched a public tender worth €80,000 to replace walkways at Praia da Fonte do Cortiço. The project aims to improve safety and protect the local dune system from unauthorized circulation. The intervention includes 106 meters of walkways and 28 meters of stairs, with an estimated execution period of 90 days.
