Public transport adjustments scheduled for Heidelberg and Rüsselsheim

Public transport services in the Rhine-Neckar and Rüsselsheim regions will undergo adjustments in September 2026.

In Heidelberg, Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr (rnv) is implementing changes to several tram and bus lines starting September 14. Due to construction on Dossenheimer Landstraße, lines 5 and 21 will see schedule adjustments, with some line 21 trips ending at Johann-Fischer-Straße. Line 22 will use a detour via Campus Bergheim, and lines 24 and 26 will have minor schedule updates. Bus lines 27 and 29 will feature new routes to improve connectivity, while line 33 and 34 will also see route modifications.

In Rüsselsheim, schedule changes and route adjustments are scheduled for September 13 due to the upcoming Klassikertreffen event. All rail replacement services (SEV) will use a central replacement stop at Friedensplatz, bypassing regular stops at Weisenauer Straße and Marktplatz. Additionally, bus line 72 will follow a detour between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM, serving Friedensplatz and Neckarstraße instead of several regular stops including Opel Tor 20 and Opel Tor 60.
