Public transport closures in Mexico City and El Salvador this weekend

Mexico City's Metrobús system said it will close sections of four lines (1, 3, 4 and 7) on Saturday 27 June because of expected LGBT march gatherings. Service will be suspended at several stations on each line, with alternative routes suggested for riders.

In El Salvador, authorities announced a total two‑way closure of Diagonal Universitaria on Sunday 28 June to install 22 metrocable towers. The work, part of a new 3.5‑km metrocable project costing about US$110 million, is expected to serve up to 200 000 people once completed.
