Series of road accidents across Argentina and neighboring countries cause injuries and deaths

A string of traffic collisions were reported in several Latin American locales. In Argentina, a 35‑year‑old pedestrian died after being struck by a motorcycle in Iguazú and authorities began a homicide investigation. In Concordia, a young motorcyclist suffered serious injuries when his bike, without lights or a helmet, collided with a Volkswagen Gol. A car in General Roca ended up in a drainage ditch after being rear‑ended, prompting a police search for the fleeing driver. In Mar del Plata, a municipal crane performed an illegal U‑turn and crashed into a family’s RAM van, injuring three municipal officers and trapping the driver. Other incidents include a vehicle that slammed into a fuel pump on Route 12 near Empedrado, a crash on Route 22 near Plaza Huincul that left a woman with a skull fracture, and a bus driver’s medical emergency that led his bus to strike a house in Buenos Aires. Separate accidents were also reported in Mexico (a car‑bus collision in Pachuca and a fatal crash on Ruta 141) and Uruguay (a van crash in Salto). These events resulted in multiple injuries, several severe traumas, and at least two fatalities.
