Infrastructure projects cause regional traffic disruptions

Various infrastructure projects and construction works are causing significant traffic and public transport disruptions across several European regions.

In Germany, multiple road closures are scheduled. In the Schweinfurt district, sections of the SW 20 and SW 32 will face full closures for asphalt and surface works through September 2026. In Trier, the Römerbrücke will be closed to vehicles for 12 hours on August 22 for structural inspections. The A671 Mainbrücke Hochheim will also undergo a full closure from August 21 to 24 for concrete repairs. In Schwerin, construction on Rogahner Straße will alter bus lines 5 and 16 through late September. Additionally, Rottweil is facing overlapping closures involving the B 14/B 27 bypass, railway bridge repairs by Deutsche Bahn, and district-wide construction.

In Austria, Föderlach is implementing a new roundabout as part of a railway underpass project, with further closures expected in early September. In Graz, replacement buses will serve tram line 5 on August 25 due to brake testing for Flexity trams.

In Luxembourg, major construction projects in Rottweil are impacting local transit and road access through the end of August.
