Public transport services expand in Palencia and Buenos Aires

The Diputación de Palencia is expanding its on-demand rural public transport service, known as Dipucar, to 49 new localities in Spain starting November 9. The expansion covers the Venta de Baños, Carrión de los Condes, and Herrera de Pisuerga-Alar del Rey areas, aiming to facilitate travel between villages and regional hubs for those without private vehicles.

Since its pilot phase began, the service has recorded 6,381 reservations. Data shows that women use the service at nearly twice the rate of men. Currently, 60 percent of bookings are made via the Dipucar mobile app, while 40 percent are handled by telephone.

In Buenos Aires, Argentina, the city's electric bus service (eBUS) is extending its route to Caminito in the La Boca neighborhood. Starting September 5, the service will operate on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 9:00 to 18:00, connecting Caminito with the Cruise Terminal through 13 new stops to improve sustainable mobility for residents and tourists.
