Public transport services undergo maintenance in Mexico and Spain
Public transportation services in Mexico and Spain are undergoing adjustments due to scheduled maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.
In Mexico, Tren El Insurgente has temporarily modified its operating hours starting August 10. The last service will now depart at 22:30 as maintenance tasks are carried out. This service connects Zinacantepec in the State of Mexico with Observatorio in Mexico City. The system has seen significant growth, with daily ridership increasing from 22,000 to approximately 68,000 passengers.
In Spain, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) has suspended train circulation between Gràcia and Sarrià stations until August 23. The works aim to modernize infrastructure by replacing traditional ballast systems with concrete slab tracks. To mitigate the impact on lines S1 and S2, FGC has deployed free shuttle buses to connect the affected stations, including Sant Gervasi, Muntaner, La Bonanova, and Les Tres Torres.
