Publicis Groupe appoints Scott Hagedorn as CEO of Marcel AI platform
Publicis Groupe has announced a new leadership structure for Marcel, its AI-driven activation platform. Scott Hagedorn has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the platform, while Sam Levine Archer will serve as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
Both executives will retain their current group-level roles as Chief Solutions Architect and Chief Solutions Officer, respectively. The new leadership team will oversee a global workforce of 400 people.
Originally launched in 2017 to connect the company's 115,000 employees, Marcel has evolved into an AI tool used by thousands of employees to support more than 90 clients. The platform's expanded strategic focus will include influencer and creator marketing, sports, culture, live experiences, content intelligence, and generative engine optimization (GEO). To drive these capabilities, Marcel will integrate technologies from Publicis Sapient, Epsilon, and Lotame.
