Puck Pieterse supports Darren van Bekkum during Vuelta debut

Professional cyclist Puck Pieterse is closely following the Vuelta a España to support her partner, Darren van Bekkum, as he makes his debut in a Grand Tour. Van Bekkum, riding for XDS Astana, is experiencing the physical demands of consecutive racing days for the first time in his career.

Pieterse noted that while the initial heat presented challenges, Van Bekkum is beginning to feel better. The two athletes, who met through their shared cycling background in Amersfoort, maintain contact through daily phone calls despite the demanding schedules of professional racing.
