PUCMM and OLACDE sign agreement on Latin American energy future
The Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) have signed a cooperation agreement to promote sustainable energy development.
During the academic event ‘Connecting Minds, Energizing the Future,’ held in Santo Domingo, representatives from the energy and academic sectors discussed the challenges of the energy transition and the role of research in the region. Virginia Flores, PUCMM’s Vice Rector of Research and Innovation, emphasized the need for regional integration and collaboration between governments, universities, and the productive sector to address energy poverty and technological development.
