PUCMM holds academic engagement event at Columbia University

The Fundación Madre y Maestra and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) held an event titled “Friends of Madre y Maestra: una visión compartida” at Columbia University in New York. The gathering aimed to strengthen ties between the university, its alumni residing in the United States, and allies dedicated to advancing higher education in the Dominican Republic.

The event focused on fostering educational opportunities for high-achieving Dominican youth who require financial support to access university studies. During the program, the new Board of Directors for Friends of Fundación Madre y Maestra was sworn in, with Dr. Luisa Pérez appointed as president.

Additionally, PUCMM authorities met with academic representatives from Columbia University to discuss potential collaborations and academic exchanges, specifically in the fields of medicine and humanities.
