PUCRS to host 17th International Communication Seminar

The Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) will host the 17th edition of the International Communication Seminar (Seicom) from November 10 to 12, 2026. Organized by the Graduate Program in Communication (PPGCOM) of the School of Communication, Arts, and Design (Famecos), the event will feature both in-person and online activities at the PUCRS campus in Porto Alegre.

The seminar aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas among researchers investigating communication processes, power relations, imagery, and technology. It seeks to strengthen research networks and institutional agreements through international dialogue and working groups. The event also serves as a platform for scientific work, accepting original abstracts from researchers and students for publication in the event's proceedings.
