PUCV students win five medals at University Pan American Games

Nine students from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV) represented Chile at the University Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru. The delegation achieved a total of five medals, consisting of two silver and three bronze awards.

In futsal, Carlos Barraza secured second place. In track and field, Victoria Basaldúa earned silver in the 10,000 meters, while Francisca Mena (10,000 meters), Óscar Avendaño (shot put), and Gastón González (1,500 meters) each earned bronze medals.

The Chilean delegation, composed of students from various FENAUDE universities, finished fifth overall in the medal standings.
