Mexican states report progress in public works and infrastructure

Various Mexican states are reporting significant progress in public works, infrastructure, and administrative oversight. In Puebla, the administration is advancing the paving of Avenida 16 de Septiembre, which has seen a 45 percent completion rate after 30 years of delay, benefiting 150,000 residents. Additionally, municipal works in San Jerónimo Caleras have been delivered to improve local accessibility.

In Tamaulipas, Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya has highlighted investments in several municipalities. Gómez Farías has received over 660 million pesos for development, while Ocampo has seen a combined federal and state investment of 697 million pesos. In Miquihuana, the governor reiterated support for local transformation and social programs.

In Guerrero, Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda has inaugurated water and sanitation systems in Tepecoacuilco, part of a broader 73 million peso investment in hydraulic and urban infrastructure. Meanwhile, in Hidalgo, the 2027 federal budget proposes over 2.8 billion pesos for the modernization of irrigation districts to improve water management in agricultural zones.

Administrative transparency remains a focus, with the San Luis Potosí Congress demanding that outgoing mayors leave healthy finances. In Chiapas, authorities have opened integral audits of federalized resources to ensure accountability in municipal spending.
