Puebla authorities conduct series of operations against criminal groups
The Puebla State Attorney General's Office (FGE) has conducted several high-profile security operations across the state, resulting in multiple arrests and the seizure of illegal goods.
In San Martín Texmelucan, authorities dismantled a criminal structure involved in extortion, drug offenses, and weapons possession, detaining six individuals. Similarly, in Izúcar de Matamoros, a joint operation with the Navy and National Guard led to the arrest of one person and the seizure of methamphetamine and marijuana at a distribution point.
In San Pablo Xochimehuacan, a coordinated effort between the Navy, State Public Security, and the FGE resulted in the capture of six men linked to the “Los Millonarios” gang. The group, allegedly led by José Pablo N., is accused of vehicle theft and residential robberies across several municipalities. Authorities seized firearms, ammunition, and vehicles during the arrest.
Separately, the FGE has launched an internal investigation into its own ministerial agents following reports of gunfire in the Universidades neighborhood of Puebla city. Witnesses reported shots being fired from a vehicle occupied by individuals who identified themselves as state prosecutors and initially resisted detention by municipal police.
