Puebla authorities search for missing BUAP student

Authorities in Puebla are searching for Hugo Alejandro Hernández Tello, a 25-year-old administration student at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), who has been missing since September 5. He was last seen in the Ignacio Zaragoza neighborhood after leaving his home to play soccer.

During search efforts, a backpack believed to belong to the student was discovered near the Alseseca River. This finding has led family members, volunteers, and authorities to concentrate their search efforts around the riverbed and the Valle del Sol neighborhood. While social media reports suggest he may have been seen walking in the area, his whereabouts remain unknown.

The Fiscalía General del Estado de Puebla has opened an investigation and is requesting public assistance. The student is described as 1.70 meters tall, with wavy black hair, wearing glasses, and having a distinctive mole on the right side of his chin. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with red stripes, navy blue shorts, and white sneakers with black stripes.
