Puebla brand Cinco de Mayo reaches $3 million in international sales

The Cinco de Mayo brand, which markets products from Puebla, Mexico, has reached $3 million in international sales. The brand is preparing to expand its catalog with a new product to increase commercial opportunities for local producers.

Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier highlighted the role of the State Integral Centers for Innovation and Agro-industrial Transformation (CIITRA) in processing raw materials. This initiative aims to extend the shelf life of food products, increasing their commercial value and providing a competitive advantage to farming families.

To support international expansion, the state government is working with producers to ensure compliance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations regarding manufacturing and labeling. Key target markets in the United States include Los Angeles, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Additionally, a delegation from Morocco recently visited the region to evaluate product samples for potential commercial use.
