Catedral de Puebla debuts new LED architectural lighting

The Puebla Cathedral has debuted a new architectural lighting system as part of the ‘Puebla Brilla’ strategy. The installation features 460 LED light points strategically placed to highlight the monumentality of the Renaissance building, including its main facade, north and south facades, main and posterior domes, towers, and perimeter fence. The project, led by Mayor Pepe Chedraui and the Archdiocese of Puebla, follows guidelines from the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) to ensure the lighting enhances the structure without altering its historical stone. The system is designed to create various lighting scenarios to boost tourism and urban beautification in the Historic Center.

Separately, several Mexican municipalities are implementing educational infrastructure projects. In Toluca, the local government is constructing ten school roofs covering 5,380 square meters to protect approximately 8,000 students and teachers from weather conditions. In San Mateo Atenco, a new roof was delivered to the Amado Nervo Primary School. In El Mante, Tamaulipas, authorities have initiated drainage rehabilitation and bathroom improvements at the Horacio Terán Primary School, alongside monitoring school breakfast programs to ensure student nutrition.
